YOUR TEACHER OSKAR HULA
Hi, my name is Oskar. I am a dancer, choreographer, lover of Movement and my biggest passion next to dance is BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jiutsu). I have been travelling and learning from the best of the best for many years. I have studied 5 Styles at ASA Folkhogskola in Sweden and have learned from pioneers of the dance world such as Popin Pete, Link, Suga Pop, Storm, Ken Swift, King Charles, Buddha Stretch and many many more.
I have also trained with the best choreographers in the world such as Parris Goebel, Sean Bankhead, Diana Matos, Tony Tzar, Caetlyn Watson, J Blaze, Ian Eastwood just to name a few.
ASSISTANT LERA GAISINA
Lera has been dancing since she was 5 years old and is trained in many styles including hip hop, contemporary, jazz-funk, and heels. for her, dance is a way of visualizing music — of understanding it more deeply and finding that special connection between what she hears and how her body wants to move.
She moved to vienna from russia three years ago and since then has been deeply immersed in the dance scene here, joining many international workshops and dance camps, taking part in video projects, and being part of the BEYOND training program at THE SPACE multiple times.
Lera is a beautiful part of our foundation mentoring journey — a living example in movement in every training session — bringing a warm, feminine, and grounding energy into the room. we’re very happy to have her as part of our team.
MY APPROACH
i truly believe that we learn best and grow the most when we have fun. when we don’t take ourselves too seriously, when our nervous system is calm, and when we laugh, move, and connect with each other. my goal is always to create a space where we bring our body to its limit — but in a way that feels good and playful. where we sweat, explore, and move deeply while laughing and having the best time together. i love movement in all its forms, and i want everyone to feel that freedom, curiosity, and joy in their body.
YOUR QUESTIONS, ANSWERED
-
of course! our beginner group of the foundation mentoring program is the perfect space for anyone who wants to start dancing, no matter your age. curiosity + openness are all you need.
-
not at all! experienced dancers find a place iny the advanced foundation mentoring group where you will feel challenged in a supportive way. i always meet you where you are and lift you from there.
-
this program isn’t a regular drop-in class, so we encourage you to come to to each session to experience the full flow and progress. we work on choreographies and routines that build over the weeks, so continuity really helps you grow.
if for any reason you can’t join, we’ll do our best to capture the combos and routines and share them in the group so you can catch up at home. plus, we always revisit things from previous weeks, giving you the chance to stay part of the journey.
-
absolutely! each round is different and i always challenge my students who have trained with me before. there’s always something new to discover in your body and movement.
-
each group holds space for around 20–25 dancers. even with this size, the trainings feel intimate — having my assistantLera with me during every session allows me to give personal guidance, answer questions, and really support each of you. the group size has proven to be perfect in the recent seasons to we can feed off each other’s energy and creating a very fun, vibrant and alive space where you feel safe to explore, experiment, and connect with your movement.
-
yes — we want this space to be open to anyone ready to move, explore, and grow, so we offer 2- or 3-part split payments to make it easier to join. if money still feels like a challenge, reach out to us and we’ll see how we can support you — we really want everyone who feels called to this program to have a chance to be part of it.
